What it is

Iron is an essential nutrient for healthy oxygen transport and storage and for healthy energy production. Iron also helps support poor appetite, fussy eating, during times of growth spurts and when recovering from illness.

Infants aged 0-6 months: 0.2 mg/day
Infants aged 7-12 months: 11 mg/day

Children aged 1-3: 9 mg/day
Children aged 4-8: 10 mg/day

Boys aged 9-13: 8 mg/day
Boys aged 14-18: 11 mg/day

Girls aged 9-13: 8 mg/day
Girls aged 14-18: 15 mg/day
