Superfood Bliss Ball Recipe

“Bliss balls are the perfect energy boost as you can make them in advance, eat them quickly without any additional preparation, and enjoy them any time of the day.

This recipe is packed with loads of good ingredients, many of which are interchangeable with your usual favourites, so feel free to experiment a little. The Super Greens with Wild Reds has a great berry taste, and adds sweetness to the recipe without any artificial colours, flavours or preservatives as the sweetness comes from stevia and natural flavours. The sweetness meant my kids were happy to eat these bliss balls (winning!) and gain the benefits of the 23 nutrient dense superfoods. Adding the Super Greens and Cacao just loads these balls up even further with additional superfood powders, a massive antioxidant hit and some more great taste.”

Ingredients

Mumafit also added to this batch, 1 tbsp Chia Seeds and 1/2 cup activated buccinis – totally optional, but they were in the cupboard.

Directions

 

Blend the almonds, oats and dates in a food processor or blender, then combine with the remainder of the ingredients (excluding almond milk and coconut) in a bowl.

Using your hands, mix all ingredients together and add a touch of almond milk so that the mixture moistens enough to roll into balls.

Roll in coconut for decorative finish and store in the fridge to firm up.
